For the Coming Year...

Wow... the end of 2009! The year went by so fast. So many wonderful things have happened... the birth of our second child, having my images published for the first time, and major growth in my photography business. I am looking forward to 2010 for so many things... Happiness for the family, good health, and major photography projects. Oh, and let's shoot more film than digital!
Happy New Year!

Open Spaces...

An important part in developing my style as a photographer has been engaging in "test shoots". Testing allows me to work on the technical as much as the interpersonal skills needed to shoot people. Much of my testing is with agency models, unsigned talent, and friends and family.

The image here is with Olia, a beautiful Russian model that I've recently tested with. Hopefully there will be more with her soon.

Bridal Couture

This year I had the opportunity work with friend and couture bridal designer Jean-Ralph Thurin.  He is opening his flagship salon for Thurin Atelier in Princeton, NJ in early 2010, and he has commissioned me to shoot his new line.  Prior to this, he was featured in the New York Times on November 1, 2009 where two of my images were used to advertise his brand.  Bravo Jean-Ralph!

Finding the right pitch...

I started this blog weeks ago, but just couldn't find my voice to say something meaningful. I couldn't figure out what I wanted to say. So I decided that I shouldn't over think it, and let my photography work speak for itself. I'll use this blog to share behind the scenes images from shoots, discuss personal and current work, and technique and equipment. And so we begin...
